Mabanaft Ltd. celebrates 60 years of petroleum trading

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Mabanaft Ltd. hosted a barbecue at Middle Temple Hall end of July for customers, suppliers, and business partners. Numerous guests attended the event to celebrate.

60 years ago Theodor Weisser founded Marquard & Bahls, initially focusing on the trading of heating oil and lubricants. Thus 1947 is also the start of Mabanaft’s trading activities, although the company operated under a different name back then.

Today, Marquard & Bahls is a successful international enterprise that is involved not only in the trading of petroleum products (Mabanaft), but also in tank storage (Oiltanking), aviation fueling (Skytanking), and renewable energy (GEE Energy). Through its subsidiaries, Marquard & Bahls is represented in more than 30 countries in Europe, America, and Asia. The company employs about 3,800 people worldwide.

Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG is the trading division of Marquard & Bahls AG, Hamburg, a leading privately owned petroleum company.
